It is the world’s largest online retailer. The word Amazon means “exotic and different”. Amazon.com is ranked 10 in the Alexa ranking. The site is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Chinese. It advertises web banners and videos. The founder of this company is Jeff Bezos. The headquarter of company is located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Amazon’s software development centres are located all over the world for example in North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Amazon’s call centres are located in United States, India, South Africa, Philippines, China, Germany, Ireland, Morocco, Scotland, Japan and Costa Rica. Bezos wanted to name his company with the alphabet A so that it appears early in the alphabetical order. The products of this company are A2Z Development, Amazon Kindle, Alexa Internet, A9.com, Amazon.com, Amazon Studios, Amazon Web Services, Audible.com, dpreview.com, LoveFilm, IMDb, Endless.com, Zappos.com, Woot, Junglee.com. Amazon is expected to launch its websites in Poland, Netherlands and Sweden.
